My name is Jack Hiemenz and I am from Blaine, MN. I have loved golf my whole life but really fell in love with the game when I made the varsity golf team in 7th grade. I graduated from Spring Lake Park High School in 2014 then went on to pursue a degree in Business and Communications at Arizona State University in which I graduated in May of 2018. I decided to go to college at ASU for their strong business school and the opportunity to play golf year-round to better my game.
I first started playing out of Victory Links Golf Course when I was about 10 years old. I would bike to the course with my golf clubs on my back and spend most of my summer days there. By the time I was 14 years old I was volunteering in the First Tee of America in exchange for a golf membership at Victory Links. I fell in love with teaching young kids about the game of golf and how to become an all-around better person. When I turned 16 I landed my first job at Victory doing outside services and also continuing to help out with the First Tee. Since then, I have worked my way up and now lead lessons and classes for all age groups. I just recently turned professional and I hope to pursue a career in the golf industry, whether that would mean playing on the PGA tour or working my way up the ladder to become a club pro.
Golf is a very challenging game that no one has perfected. Golf isn’t about being perfect. Golf is all about learning how to improve the understanding of the different areas of your game so that you can play for the rest of your life competitively or for leisure.
