Hole thirteen is all about length. Golfers hitting off the red tee and closer will avoid the native areas and bunkers that present a daunting obstacle for the long hitters. Many recreational golfers vary their tee location between the silver and red tees, and hole thirteen offers a 110-yard difference between the silver and red tees, the most significant advantage for moving up to the red tee on the entire course. Grass bunkers appear on the left side of the approach to the green, a formidable foe should you hit your shot short-left. The safer bet is to approach from the right side of the fairway and favor a shot landing right of most pins.
