If you survived holes one and two buckle up your chin strap, grab your belt, and tug up on those big boy trousers, because now the real fun starts. One of the best golf holes in the entire Twin Cities area, hole three at Victory Links, gives you many options to attack. But only if your ball finds the fairway off the tee, which tapers to not much more than a sliver at about three hundred yards from the white tees. Red stakes run the entire length of the hole up the left side, while opposite, a no-mow area borders the right side about two hundred forty off the tee and then guards the fairway the rest of the way. The further you hit your tee shot, the straighter you will want to be. Bunkers guard the front while waist-high grass surrounds the back of the green, assigning a premium on club selection and figuring out the swirling winds.
