Little Launchers
Ages 6-7
This class is for your young golfer who can’t wait to get outside with their clubs in the yard or head to the driving range. Maybe they’ve expressed interest in trying it for the first time, or maybe you’re a golfer yourself and are dreaming of the days you tee it up together.
Come give them a taste of all aspects of the game- Putting, chipping, iron play and driving. They will participate in games that are working to tap into the subconscious so they are learning skills and movements related to the golf swing without even realizing it.
This is a non-traditional class in a few ways
-We will be using plastic clubs and tennis balls for equipment throughout these classes.
-Activities will be geared according to age and size of the class to ensure safety, fun and learning.
-We ask that you keep an open mind for the reasons behind the activities. If you are curious, ask us! We’re happy to tell you the method behind why we do what we do.

One of our most popular classes at VLGC! Come learn the fundamentals alongside your junior. Whether it’s children, grandchildren, nieces of nephews, this is a family program!
Progress and learning can accelerate when you have a partner to turn to with questions. When you are both looking for and are beginning to understand the same elements of the golf swing, we believe that learning can speed up and retention can be achieved faster. Also for a lot of us, spending time together is a big reason we play!
We hear it all the time, “I want to help my junior get better but I don’t know how to help!” Learn the body movements that create your own effortless and efficient golf swing throughout this course. Come with an open and curious mind and discover talking points and drills to help you and your junior start down the road of continuous improvement.

Beginner Development
Ages 8-10yrs
Ages 11-13yrs
In every sport on every level, there are agreed upon fundamentals. In golf it may be difficult to find that. This class aims to cement those in each student’s mind so as their progression goes throughout each series, this basis for understanding is never lost. This, like all of our programs, is progress focused.
There are so many ways to get good results in golf. This is the beauty of the game, but also it’s downfall at times. Talented juniors who can break the rules and get better results than most, box themselves in without knowing it, thus closing off their true potential. In these classes students will dive into the variables controlled by us, path, face, power, and angle of attack.
When they introduce those mixed in with the variables they do not control, wind, slope, moisture, and temperature, they can properly interpret what the ball is doing. This will eventually give them total control of it, understanding the swing in fractions as well as a complete whole.
Each age group will have instruction based on their cognitive level. Let’s set the foundation of your juniors golf swing here in this class.

Intermediate Development
Ages 8-10yrs
Ages 11-13yrs
This class will move beyond some of the basics and focus in on higher level skills, while continuing to reinforce the fundamentals taught in all of our classes. Whether that’s bunker play, distance control, or creative shot-making, this class will begin to let your junior wield some of those skills in a supervised and coached environment, adding tools to their bag. They will be introduced to playing strategy and making smart on-course decisions through 1 on 1 instruction given in this group setting.
As with all of our levels, review and reinforcement of the fundamentals is paramount. As their skills expand and they are able to break the fundamental rules and step into the “playing golf” part of the game, it’s critical that we do not lose sight of the building blocks that got them there. Lebron still does layups, we still practice two footers even if we rarely miss. In this class we will begin to introduce drills and skills to practice outside of class time.
